Mary Familar Javier, 88 years old, peacefully entered into rest on Friday, October 21, 2011, in Alameda, California. She is survived by her loving 10 children from oldest to youngest: Leonora, Melanie, Benjamin, Florence, Gilbert, Robert, Albert, Annabelle, Herbert and Lambert. She also leaves behind 32 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson to cherish her memories. And she is also survived by her sister Caridad Baligaya and many nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her husband Oscar, and siblings Felimon, Adolfo, Aida, Winnie, Helen, and Lindsay.
Mary was born in Hilo, Hawaii and grew up in Honolulu. She lived in the Philippines for 49 years. She was a successful homemaker, who dedicated her career on raising 10 beautiful and loving children. After retirement, Oscar and Mary along with their children, relocated to the United States on April 1979. Soon after, they made their home in Alameda, California.
