Mary Enid, daughter of George W. and Izma (Tucker) Montag, was born February 24, 1930, in Estherville, Iowa.  She was raised and educated in West Bend, Iowa, attending St. Peter & Paul’s Catholic School through seventh grade and graduating from West Bend High School in 1947.Enid then enrolled in business school in Mason City, Iowa. She was employed by Standard Oil in Mason City upon completion of her studies. Enid eventually moved back to West Bend and began working at Iowa State Bank. Enid was united in marriage with Richard Bormann July 11, 1951 at St. Peter & Paul’s Catholic Church in West Bend. The couple made their home on a farm north of West Bend where they raised their two boys. She and Richard moved into the town of West Bend in 1966. In the 1970’s, Enid worked at a variety store, which she eventually owned and operated. After Enid sold the store she devoted herself to full-time homemaking. Enid was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and Ladies Aid.  Richard and Enid enjoyed dancing and traveled to many ballrooms.  Her grandchildren will remember her for her ice cream Jello and scotcheroos. She had a love for teddy bears and Christmas decorations. Enid died July 20, 2020 at West Bend Health & Rehabilitation in West Bend. Survivors include her sons Harry and his wife Deb of Cylinder, IA and Brian and his wife Cindy of West Bend; grandchildren: Jason (Val) Bormann, Sarah McCullough and her friend Brad Hill, Jennifer (Tim) Swift, Adam (Kaitlin) Bormann, Braden (Emily) Bormann, and Emily (Brad) Schick; great grandchildren Tyler (Melissa) McCullough, Halle and Kaleb McCullough, Ava, Lily, Will, Anna and Mara Swift, Payton and Hayden Bormann, Daniel Bormann and Luke Bormann; great great grandson Eli McCullough; and sister-in-law Marge Montag of Mankato, MN.  Enid was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard in 2010, grandson-in-law Kevin McCullough and brother William Montag.
