Hagerstown, MD – Mary Ellen Roberts, 80, of Hagerstown, MD and formerly of Clear Spring, MD passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was born on July 27, 1942, in Clear Spring, MD to the late Lewis Preston and Anna Pauline (Rubeck) Wiles.
Mary attended Clear Spring Schools.
She was a Homemaker and previously employed with Valley Market in Clear Spring, MD and Denny’s Restaurant on the Dual Highway.
She was a member of Trinity Full Gospel Church of Hagerstown, MD. She was a very devoted Christian.
She is survived by her husband John R. Roberts whom she married on August 27, 1962; daughter Charlene M. Kline and her husband Ronald of Clear Spring, MD; son John W. Roberts of Clear Spring, MD; son Richard C. Roberts and his wife Wanda of Clear Spring, MD; son Kevin R. Roberts and his wife Kimberly of Williamsport, MD; grandchildren Crystal Roberts, Eric Roberts, Bruce Roberts (Susan), Jennifer Roberts, Derrick Roberts (Chelsea), Destinee Kline (Doug), Amelia Shifflett (Ryan), and Jocelynn Roberts; numerous great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a grandson Joshua Roberts; four sisters Dorothy Stotler, Nellie Shelly, Nancy Barthelow, and Marlene Gay; three brothers Lewis Wiles, Jimmy Wiles, and Gary Wiles; her favorite dog “Shaggy”.
