Mary Ellen Herrington, 65, of Salem, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014, at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.She was born August 29, 1949, in Oak Forrest, IL, daughter of Edward Lorenzo Herrington and Mary Theresa (O’Brien) Herrington. She married William Walton, April 1, 2005 in Salem and he survives in Salem.
In addition to her husband of 9 years, she is also survived by a son, Ron Schultz and fiance’ Michelle Barkau of Salem; daughter, Tina Dennis and husband Denny of Salem; 2 stepdaughters, Tammy Lent and husband Lyle of Kalamazoo, MI, Theresa Dorby and husband Adam of Galesburg, MI; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and a sister.
