Mary Ellen Heath Owings, 86, a resident of Gooding, formerly of Glenns Ferry, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013 in Twin Falls.
Mary Ellen was born October 28, 1926, in King Hill, Idaho, to Edwin D. and Sylvia L. Hitesman Heath. She was raised and educated in King Hill graduating from High School.
Mary Ellen married Tom Owings in May of 1946 in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. They were blessed with 4 children. She later married Bob McCarthy.
Mary Ellen was a cook for Union Pacific Railroad, and owned and operated an upholstery shop in Gooding.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 husbands; 1 daughter, Kay Lynn Robirts; 1 grandson; 5 brothers; 1 sister; and 1 daughter-in-law.
