Mary Elizabeth Yuhas, 81, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, April 22, 2021. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dennis and their children Tracey (Jim) Kowalewski Boise Idaho, Colleen (Randy) Parnell Orlando, Florida, Christopher Morris Minneapolis, Minnesota, grandchildren Rachel Kowalewski and Jake Kowalewski. She was predeceased by her daughter Nancy Morris.
Mary’s career was as a licensed practical nurse, she kept score for several NASCAR teams in her long-standing career with NASCAR. She would record the order of cars crossing the start and finish line for each lap of a race. Keep track of the number of strikes for each car that is involved in an incident. She helped in getting the cars lined up for the initial start and for re-starts; notify drivers of caution flag, re flag and black flag. She worked with different drivers Cale Yarborough, Sterling Marlin and several more. NASCAR was her Joy!!!
Mary was very fond of her family and loved them very much. She also had a love for her cats. She will be greatly missed in our family. She meant so much to us.
Mary will be placed in the St. Joseph Mausoleum in Waukesha, Wisconsin later.
