Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Boone, age 78, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at the EAMC Lanier Hospital in Valley.
Mrs. Boone was born on October 3, 1943 in West Point, Georgia to the late James Earl Nix, Sr. and Mary Emma Gray Nix. She was also preceded in death by her husband Danny Boone, her son Jimmy Boone, siblings, Eithel Nix, Patsy Nix, and James Earl Nix, Jr.
She was a member of Lanier Baptist Church. She retired from Wal-Mart after 17 years of service.
Mrs. Boone enjoyed art, sewing, poetry and she loved animals.
She is survived by her daughter, Polly Boone (Angela Sampson), grandson, Carter Sampson, sister, Sue Ellen Darby (Bobby), Nephews, Fletcher O’Dell Darby (Teresa) and James Earl Darby, and her loyal and special furbaby, Gidget.
