Mary Elizabeth (Dietrich) Putnam, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 10, 2021 in her home. She was born on June 19, 1935 in Indianapolis to the late Otto R. and Katherine Bernice (Cross) Dietrich. Mary was married to the love of her life, James P. Putnam, for 62 years; he preceded her in death in 2017.
Mary graduated from the old Manual High School and was dedicated to taking care of her family.
Survivors include her children, James “Jim” P. Putnam, Bill (Amy) Putnam and Ron (Gail) Putnam; siblings, Dick Dietrich, Marlene Wall, Geri (Sonny) Keatts and Raymond (Wanda) Dietrich; grandchildren, Kailey Putnam, Samantha Putnam, William Putnam and Sarah (Noah) Richie; great-grandchildren, Austin, Brianna, Haylee, Abby, Joe, Minerva, Felix and Florence; and great-great-grandson, James William.
