Mary Elizabeth Middleton (nee Sayers), died Saturday, January 26th at the Masonic Home of NJ in Burlington Township, she was 84 years of age. Born August 15, 1928 in Atlantic City, NJ, she had been a former resident of Franklinville before moving to the Masonic Home in 2008. Mary was very active in the Red Cross, Boy Scouts and later with the Eastern Star.
A proud member since 1970 she was a member of Woodbury Chapter #109 and then of Pitman Chapter #57 O.E.S. She served as Grand Representative and Grand Marshal traveling the State of New Jersey proudly. Preceded in death by her parents; Walter and Elizabeth (Leeds) Sayers, her brothers Walter and William Sayers and her husband Richard Middleton, she is survived by her daughter: Cynthia Sweeney-Harrison (Joan) of Franklinville, step-son Gary (Kelly) Middleton of Florida, her grandchildren: Daniel and John Sweeney and Michaela Middelton.
She is also survived by her siblings, Margaret (Robert) Grubbs of Florida, Barbara (Robert) Stinsman of Westville, NJ, and George (Karen) Sayers of Florida.
