Salem – Mary E. Jack, age 92, of Salem, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Salem Regional Medical Center. She was born July 29, 1921 in St. Marys, West Virginia, the daughter of Earl and Lucy Mae Underwood. Mary resided with her daughter, Nancy K. and son-in-law George E. Hugus in Salem. She loved to sew and worked as a Ward Clerk at Trinity East in Steubenville, Ohio for 20 years before retiring at age 67. Mary was a member of the Greenford Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall F. Jack, who died at age 50 in 1969. Survivors include daughters, Nancy K. (George) Hugus of Salem and Marsha L. (Jim) McCosky of Prospect, KY; two grandchildren, Jeffery E. (Brenna) Hugus of Concord, NC and Melissa A (Brian) Carter of Salem; and six great-grandchildren.
