Mrs. Mary Morgan Kelley, age 88, died Monday at Newnan Health and Rehabilitation Center of complications related to Alzheimer’s disease. Mrs. Kelley was born November 30, 1919 in Fayette County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Homer S. and Mattie Lizzie Ward Morgan. She was preceded in death by her husband Willie Howell Kelley in 1994. She retired from Sears Roebuck after being a dedicated employee in the local store for 25 years. Following retirement from Sears, she enjoyed working at Morgan Jewelers.
For over 60 years she was a devoted member of Newnan First Baptist Church and was active in all the programs of the church until her health problems prevented her participation. Mrs. Kelley is survived by her children, Ronald Kelley and his wife Irma of Lilburn, Robert Kelley and his wife Judy of Dothan, AL and Joan Kelley of Cornelia, GA. There are nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Frances Morgan Duke of Hinesville, Fred Morgan of Newnan, Ferrell Morgan of Toccoa and Elizabeth Morgan Anderson of Marietta.
