Mary (Dee Dee) Carmela Maiorano passed away peacefully December 30, 2010. She was born September 15, 1919 in New Haven, daughter of the late Anna Montalto and Girolomo Columba. She leaves an adoring husband Alfred J. Maiorano, former Superintendent of Schools in West Haven. Sisters Rosalie Ciaburri of Wallingford and Carmel Genera of Northford survive her. She was pre- deceased by her infant brother Anthony. Mary was a devoted mother to Maryanne Cordone and Tom Rapaccioulo of Clinton, Barbara Gasparine and Rick Reher of Woodbridge, Alfred Maiorano Jr and Kim Wicks Maiorano of Bethany, and Marisa and Dennis Hill of North Branford. She was the beloved grandmother of Anthony Cordone Jr and wife Jen, Michael Cordone and wife Rachael, John Gasparine and wife Jennifer, Alfred Maiorano III, Lauren Gasparine, Matthew Maiorano and wife Catherine, Kevin Maiorano, Danielle Hill, Nicholas Hill, and Richard, Nicholas and Brittany Reher. Mary was a loving great-grandmother to Alexandria Maiorano, Amanda Cordone and Jackson Cordone. Mary was a graduate of Larson Junior College. She was the assistant treasurer of the West Haven Teachers Federal Credit Union from 1947 until 1974.
