Mary Barbara Knab, 94, of Holiday Island passed away on December 15, 2010. She was born March 25, 1916 in Gresham, Wisconsin to the late John Hoffman and Anne (Brunner) Hoffman. On November 7, 1942 she was united in marriage to Oscar R. Knab and to this union 4 children were born. Mary was talented in the areas of baking, quilting, gardening, and her artistic abilities. Her hobbies included playing bridge, golfing and archery. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Eureka Springs, AR, HILGA Holiday Island Ladies Golf Association, Archery Club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Rosary Sodality of St. Jude’s Church in South Bend, Indiana. Survivors include one son, Douglas J. Knab and wife Terry of Montgomery, TX, 3 daughters, Priscilla A. Richardson and husband Phillip of Ashill, Norfolk, United Kingdom, Virginia M. Knab of Alpine, TX, and Monica E. Knab of Fishers, Indiana, and 1 sister, Magdalen Schultz of Grand Junction, CO; 9 grandchildren, Nick, Jason, Lisa, Mark, Katherine, Anne, Matthew, Dominic and Teresa, 2 great-grandchildren, Abigail and Louis Oscar. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar R. Knab, in August 2002; and 4 siblings, Leo Hoffman, Anna Schmidt, Philip Hoffman and Charlie Hoffman.
