Mary Ann Scalise Wright, 85, of Lost Creek departed from this life on Friday, April 21, 2017 at her residence. She was born January 23, 1932 in Wendel, WV; daughter of the late Mike and Angeline Fratto Scalise.
Mary is survived by a daughter and three sons; Rose M. Johnson and husband, Scott of Grand Forks, ND, Michael A. Wright and wife Judy, James J. Wright and wife Holly, Joseph V. Wright and wife Aimee; ten grandchildren, Natasha, Kayla-Rose, James N., Noah N., Joshua, Joseph, Sarah, Carter, Angela, Michele; thirteen great grandchildren, Brailynn, Hailey, Kaydy, Sophia, Abrianna, Danny, Brittany, Emily, Jeremy, Hannah, Miley, Katie, Gianna; an aunt, Mary Rosano of Bridgeport, WV; two brother-in-laws, Augustine Serafini of Clarksburg, WV and David Wright of Charlestown, WV; a nephew, Mario Serafini and wife Sarah of Hanover, NH; one great nephew, Lucano Serafini of Hanover, NH.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Arthur Wright, who was a veteran of the US Army. They married on October 2, 1954 and he preceded her in death October 1990; a sister, Carmie Serafini; two sister-in-laws, Nancy Wright and Mary Kay Wright; a brother-in-law, Donald Wright; a mother-in-law and father-in-law, Austie and Arthur B. Wright.
Mary graduated from Lost Creek High School, in 1949 and in 1971 she graduated from Radcliff Beauty College. In 2011 she retired as a bookkeeper from Harrison County Bank. She was a homemaker; Mary loved spending time with her family.
