Mary Ann (Rydz) Potthoff, 85, of Conway, AR, formerly of Peru, was called to Heaven on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Conway Regional Medical Center.
A prayer service will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon at St. Joseph’s Church, Peru with Rev. Scott Potthoff officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Webster Park. Visitation will be 9:30-11:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family kindly asks that those attending services wear face coverings and follow social distancing guidelines.
Mary Ann was born April 29, 1936 in LaSalle to Walter and Marie (Piotrowski) Rydz. She married Theodore “Ted” Potthoff on September 7, 1957 at St. Hyacinth’s Catholic Church, LaSalle.
Mary Ann was a member of St. Joseph’s Mothers Club, Altar & Rosary Society and the CWV Women’s Auxiliary. She loved baking, hunting for cookbooks and antiquing for clip earrings. Mary Ann was a very loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved everyone unconditionally!
Survivors include five loving daughters, Sandra “Sandy” Franklin of LaSalle, Susan “Sue” (Mike) Holden of Scranton, IA, Cynthia “Cindy” (Tom) Ludford of Conway, AR, Lisa (Kurt) Newman of O’Fallon, MO and Laura Gruenwald of Peru; her cherished 17 grandchildren, Jeremy, Jamie, Michelle, Bryan, James, Megan, Amy, Lindsey, Josh, Joel, Ryan, Dustin, Angela, Jennifer, Abby, Sarah and Anna; her adored 23 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Mia, Jonah, Henry, Hayden, Lennon, Evelyn, Kellan, Madison, Luke, Donovan, Theo, Charley Mae, Spencer Jean, Harper, Griffin, Addalyn, Christopher James, Hadley, Emma, Sariah, Sabella and Jaxen; and her sister dear, Katie (Gary) Gray of New Berlin, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ted Potthoff.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeremy Wenzel, Jamie Wenzel, Bryan Holden, James Holden, Josh Ludford, Joel Ludford, Ryan Lehn and Dustin Lehn.
Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Michelle Zens, Megan McLennan, Amy Cosentino, Lindsey Baskerville, Angela Wacker, Sarah Gruenwald and Anna Gruenwald.
