Mary Alice Bowman (Cox) died in the home of her daughter Julie Keegan, in Terre Haute, Indiana on May 14, 2020.

She was born on January 4, 1925 to Elsie and Alonzo Cox, into a family of nine.  Mary graduated from Lincoln High School, Vincennes, Indiana, in 1944.  She married Frank Bowman on April 10, 1949.  Frank and Mary were married for 70 years.  They resided on Highway 41 South in Vincennes, before moving to Ft. Myers, FL.  Mary was an avid bridge player, playing both table and duplicate bridge.  She taught bridge in Vincennes, at her home, and at Vincennes University.  Her students number in the hundreds.

Mary was a loving mother to children, Jerry, Julie and Jeff.  We can say with certainty that her children were the center of her life.  In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a loving Cox family of Marie Sievers, Ella Smith, Zella McCullough, Elsie Cox (Gray), Leland Millard Cox (Bud), Pat Hunt, Hazel Melvin and Lonnie Cox.  She enjoyed hosting family reunions, at her home on Highway 41, where all of the Cox family assembled.  Those were some of her happiest memories.

Mary is survived by children Jerry (Fafar); Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania, Julie Keegan (Bob); Terre Haute, Indiana and Jeff (Debbie); Moores Hill, Indiana.  Grandchildren, Keith, Allison, Allen, Katie, Gale and Laura, and seven great grandchildren.
