Mary Parks of Centralia passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Fireside House Nursing Home in Centralia. Mrs. Parks was born August 1, 1931 in Xenia, daughter of Harry Henson and Pearl (Hanon) Henson. She married Nathan Parks on November 12, 1960 in Salem and he preceded her in death on March 17, 2010. Mrs. Parks is survived by a son: Doug Skort and wife Mary of Centralia; two daughters: Tamera Hogan and husband Gerry of Ballwin, MO and Beth Branon and husband Jay of Centralia; 5 grandchildren: Ashley Parle and husband Steve of Ballwin, MO, Andrew Hogan of Ballwin, MO, Katie Branon, Hannah Branon and Garrett Branon all of Centralia; 4 sisters: Betty Gansauer, Barbara Francois both of Centralia, Pat Hilliard of Flora and Suzanne Hausch of Elk Grave Village, IL; a brother John Henson and wife Susan of FL; a sister-in-law, Sharon Schreiber of MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, step-mother, Vesta (Ely) Henson, step-father, Robert Garnier and a brother, Jim Henson. Mary loved spending time with her family.
