Mary Alice celebrated the New Year by walking through the gates of Heaven. She was a beloved wife to Darryl and devoted mother to Krista and Danae.

Her proudest accomplishments were working as part of the office staff of Trinity Lutheran Church and with the youth choir. Darryl enjoys recounting how Nancy LaMott was once a member of Mary Alice’s youth choir and Nancy’s later success was “probably” a result of her choir teacher.

She was born in Marion, Ohio on September 22, 1940 to the late Clarence and Henrietta Kietzman.

Mary Alice is survived by her husband Darryl Crabb to whom she married June 9, 1962 at Trinity Lutheran, daughters Krista (Kevin) Blaser of Midland, Danae (Bill) Cline of Midland, sister Ethelen (Jack) Herbstreit of Grand Ledge, sister-in-law Sandy Crabb of Desbarats, Ontario, grandsons Nolan Kane and Cameron Graves, granddaughters Sydney and Katrina Graves, several step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Gayle Crabb.

Prior to moving to Midland in 1959 after accepting a position as the Trinity Lutheran parish secretary, she graduated from Radnor High School and worked at the Delaware County Bank. At Trinity she founded the children’s choir and was a pre-school teacher assistant as well as being involved with the youth and Stephen Ministries. She later worked at Beamer Chiropractic and Northwood University.
