Marvin Roberts

Marvin was a very loved man by his wife and family. He died of heart failure on March 6, 2021. He was 78.

Marvin grew up on a cattle ranch with his parents and siblings on the Musselshell River in Harlowton, Montana.

At the age of 17 he joined the Army. Then, in the same year, he married Betty Wolff, also a teenager. They would spend the upcoming sixty years together as a loving, devoted couple. They lived most of their marriage in Idaho.

Marvin was a quiet, simple man who seemed to prefer sticking around home doing repairs on the cars and home. He enjoyed hunting elk and deer, arrowhead hunting, and taking the family out on picnics in the mountains. He also spent a lot of time reading. His favorite Bible verse was known as Psalm 23:6 – Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Marvin made a decision to follow and put his faith in Jesus when he was in his twenties.

He is survived by: his wife Betty (Wolff) Roberts; and their six children, Lisa Robbins and husband Bob, Duane Roberts and wife Argentina, Viann Patterson and husband Rick, Marsha Irish and husband Chad, Mary Roberts, Matt and wife Rhina; and also, by their many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brother Charles Roberts and wife Carol, and by many nieces and nephews.
