Marvin “Pete” Davis, age 79, of U.S. 60 West, Olive Hill, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.
Born May 11, 1938, in Carter County, he was a son of the late Roy J. and Essie Eden Davis. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Marvin Roy Davis.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Loretta Wagoner Davis, whom he married May 9, 1958; two sons, Rick (Darlene) Davis of Lewis County, and Gary (Sheila) Davis of Carter County; five grandchildren, Kendall Davis, Dalton Davis, Joey Davis, Marissa Davis, and Felicia Davis; and two great grandchildren, Elijah Ammon Davis and Bryleigh Sueann Davis.
Other survivors include one brother, Drexal Davis; one sister, Cathy Mabry, both of Mansfield, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
