Marvin Mokeac, age 77, of Cass Lake, Minnesota passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN.  Marvin was born on March 24, 1939 on the Shivwits Paiute Indian Reservation in Utah to Serena (Snow) and Rex Mokeac.

Marvin was a quiet man who enjoyed life.  He spent his time fixing things around the house, hunting and fishing, and watching TV, he especially liked Gun Smoke, old time westerns, wrestling and the Minnesota Twins.  Back in the 1950’s, Marvin worked as a stunt man with John Wayne on one of his movies.  Marvin enjoyed going to the Palace and Northern Lights Casinos to play Keno and sample their soups and frybread.  Marvin loved and cared for his cat “Bean”.  Bean like to go outside with Marvin and always stuck close to his side.  Marvin would open his car window and Bean would jump in and nap in the back window.

Those who passed on before Marvin are his wife; Caroline (Wind) Cloud, step-daughter; Patricia Hough, parents; Serena and Rex, sister; Edna and granddaughter; Verdella Hudson.

The family left to cherish his memory are his son; Terrence Mokeac, Sr. of Scotts Bluff, NE, step children; Enola Ortiz of Placerville, CA, Kenneth Hough, Sr. of Cass Lake, Elizabeth Perez of Turlock, CA and Anthony Rivera of San Diego, CA, sister; Victoria Pickayvieh of Kaibeb, AZ, grandchildren; Ramiro Jr. and Valena Ortiz, Kenneth Jr., Elizabeth and Jawnie Hough, Annamarie and Angel Pedroza, Anthony Perez, Robert Jr. and Angelica Rojas, Jessica, Terrence Jr., Tianna and Anthony Mokeac, 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, other relatives and friends.
