Marvin McIntyre, 87, Spring Hill, Florida; went to be with Jesus on September 21, 2008 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center-New Port Richey after an extended illness.

He was born November 29, 1920 in Burkesville, Kentucky, and resided in New Port Richey, Florida. He lived most of his life in Anderson. Marvin served his country in the US Army during WWII. He retired in 1976 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 30 years of service. He was a member of the 38th Street Free Will Baptist Church and the UAW Local #662.

He is survived by his wife whom he married October 10, 1947, Mabel Self McIntyre; daughter, Evelyn & husband Dennis Stittums of Springhill, Florida; brothers, Kelse McIntyre and S.B. McIntyre; four grandchildren, Ronda Covington & husband Steven Wentz, Rodney Covington, Summer & husband Daniel Ballard and Mackenzie McIntyre; six great grandchildren, Miranda Hover, Phillip Reece Hover, Spencer Wentz, Grace Ballard, Chase Wentz and Claire Ballard and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Randell “Randy” McIntyre; parents, William & Cordie Smith McIntyre; brothers, Fred McIntyre, Guy McIntyre, Richard Smith, Roy McIntyre, George McIntyre and Thomas McIntyre and Sisters, Rachel Graham and Lulu.
