MARVIN LEE KENNAUGH, SR.,age 73 of Alexandria, VA died Saturday, May 25, 2002 at the Sudley Manor House, Manassas, VA. Mr. Kennaugh graduated from Dixon High School, Dixon, IL., in June, 1946 and graduated at the U.S. Army Engineer Topographical Survey School, Ft. Belvoir, VA., in April, 1947. He entered the U.S. Army on September 3, 1946 in Chicago, IL., at Ft. Sheridan. He was stationed in Ft. Lewis, WA., Colorado Springs and Denver, CO., Omaha, NE., and Ft. Belvoir, VA. Overseas he was stationed in Japan, the Philippines, Korea, Germany, Thailand, and Vietnam. He retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Army on August 31, 1973 after being awarded the Bronze Star and received two Joint Service Commendation medals, and three Army Commendation medals. After the military, Mr. Kennaugh worked for the U.S. Department of the Army, Enlisted Personnel Management Directorate, Federal Civil Service from October 17, 1976 until his retiredment on May 31, 1994. He was preceded in death on November 18, 1995 by his wife, Soledad quot;Cholyquot; Pinano Kennaugh. Survivors include three sons, Dennis L. Kennaugh, of Venice, FL., Scott L. Kennaugh, of Haymarket, VA., and Marvin L. Kennaugh, Jr., of Centreville, VA., and one brother, John H. Kennaugh, of Grand Rapids, MI. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Cecilia Hyslop, Ryan Kennaugh, Stephanie Kennaugh, Taylor Kennaugh, Jonathan Kennaugh and Matthew Kennaugh.
