Marvin Eugene (Gene) Newman, 69, of Strasburg, beloved father, grandfather and brother passed away on November 29, 2012 in Aurora.
Gene was born to Georgia and Rueben Newman on June 16, 1943.
Gene served in the United States Army as a paratrooper and achieved the rank of Sergeant before being honorably discharged. He worked for several years as a truck driver for Cross Country Pipeline Supply Company before retiring.
Gene is survived by his children, Corey (Lori) Newman of Rocklin, CA and Kelley Baptista of Brentwood, CA; grandchildren, Ryan and Cody Newman; Joshua, Kelsey, Sara and Andrew Baptista; brothers, Gordon (Jan) Newman of Brighton and Raymond (Anne) Newman of Keenesburg.
Gene is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sarasue Evans-Newman; mother, Georgia and father, Rueben.
