Marvin D. Terrell, 86, of Fortville, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 in Pendleton. He was born June 25, 1933 in Austin, Indiana to Horace Terrell and Anna (Cass) Terrell. Marvin was a U. S. Army Veteran, having served in the Korean War in the 3rd Armored Division. He was a retired truck driver for the True Value Hardware and the old Stark & Wetzel Meat Packing Company.

Marvin was an active member of the Fortville Church of the Nazarene, serving in many capacities for the church throughout the years. He was a founding member and past President of the Fortville Christian Layman’s organization, a member and former 2nd Vice-President of the Fortville Lion’s Club, a member of both the Fortville VFW Post #6904 and Fortville American Legion Post #391. Marvin also served on the Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation Board for 12 years and the Fortville Town Council for 5 years.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Donna J. (Prickett) Terrell; son, Rick D. (Shelly) Terrell of Columbus, OH; stepdaughters, Jennifer (Chuck) Dupree, and Dana Coy of Fortville; grandchildren, Jason, Shawna, Matt, Amanda, Danny, Brandon, Justin, Jorden, Mason, Jaxon, Ella, Emma, Elayna, and Elijah, 18 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorcas Terrell and daughter, Phyllis Larsen.
