Marvin D. Gilmore, 76, Anderson, passed away October 9, 2011, at Manor Care in Anderson. He was born on May 21, 1935. Marvin was born in Monroe City and moved to Anderson in 1955. He worked as a lineman for the G.T.E. telephone company.
He is survived by his spouse whom he married in 1956, Janis O. Kilrain Gilmore. Daughter, Sherry Sidwell Larry. Brother, Clifford Gilmore Peg. Grandchildren, Brandie Preston fiance’, Ben, Gerald Greer, Jeff Joy Alison, Beth Sidwell fiance’, Anthony and Chandler Sidwell. Great-grandchildren, Gavin Greer, Madison Debra Joy, and Hunter Southern.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chloe McCoy and Getchel Gilmore. Daughter, Debra Sue Potter Rosenbaum. Cremation will take place.
