Marvin Clay Black, age 87, of Sharkey Road, Morehead, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born March 11, 1931, in Sharkey, he was a son of the late John Milligan Black and Sarilda Margaret Royce Black. Marvin had 11 siblings, six of which lived to adulthood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Black and James Milligan Black, and three sisters, Nina Mae Conley, Anna Lee Lovejoy, and Olive Ingle.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Audra Eldridge Black, whom he married October 21, 1949; one son, Danny Marvin Black of Winnie, Texas; one daughter, Charlotte (Larry) Stidom of Indianapolis, Indiana; two grandchildren; Jessica (Richard) Dixon of Clearfield and Kyle Stidom of Indianapolis, Indiana; and one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Dixon of Clearfield.

Other survivors include, three sisters, Elsie Lewis of Hillsboro, Daisy Odell Weaver of Bradner, Ohio, and Margaret (Bob) DeHart of Flemingsburg, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Marvin worked at Lee Clay Products for 20 years and was an avid cattle trader, farmer and gardener. He was also a faithful attender of Mt.
