He died February 4, 2012 in Bay Pines VA Health Care Systems in Pinellas Co.
Also surviving are four sons Sonny Lee Minger of WY, Shawn Minger of Marion, Wesley Minger of Bellefontaine, and Race Dillion Minger of Florida, two daughters Becky Minger of WY, and Drucilla Minger of Mt. Blanchard, two stepsons Mike Shelly of Florida, and Beau Shelly of Florida, and several grandchildren. Five sisters Reeta Treen, Katherine Marquis, Hazel Newland, Iris Proffitt, and Robin Newland all of Kenton.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Nina Minger, and a brother William.
He owned and operated a Harley Davidson Motorcycle shop, and a beauty shop where he was a cosmetologist.
He was a recon special forces in the Marine Corp surviving during the Vietnam War.
