Martin Rowan, Sr., 50, of New Britain, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn (Levesque) Rowan.
Marty was born in Camden, New Jersey on June 24, 1961, one of seven children to the late Robert and Miriam (McGlinchey) Rowan. Raised in Glendora, New Jersey, he attended Triton High School. He married his best friend, Carolyn shortly after meeting her, sharing fifteen years of love and devotion. Marty’s top priority was always to care for her, and made sure her happiness always came first. They recently held a vow renewal celebration, sharing their love for one another with family and friends. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and cheering on Tony Stewart and had a fondness for reality TV. Marty had an infectious love for life, and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to Carolyn, he is survived by his children, Martin, Jr., Brian, and Victoria Rose, all of New Jersey; one grandchild; his brothers, Robert, William, David, and John; his sister, Patricia, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Susan.
