Martin R. Gavin, 89, of Jackson, NJ passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 at Bartley Health Care, Jackson, NJ. Born in Bronx, NY, he was a longtime resident before moving to Jackson, NJ in 1963. Martin was a Machine Mechanic for the Port Authority Trans Hudson (PATH) for many years, retiring 27 years ago.
He was a parishioner of St. Aloysius RC Church, Jackson, NJ and was a former member of the Lakewood ELKS. Martin was predeceased by his son Richard Gavin in 1973. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Betty (nee Alder), a son Robert T. Gavin and his fiancée Denise Pelkey of Jackson, NJ and a grandson Robert T. Gavin, Jr.
