Martha L. Johnson, 70, of Harrison, AR went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 20, 2011. She was born April 2, 1940 in East Prairie, MO, daughter of the late Henry Lester Sweet and Alma Chunn Sweet. On August 22, 1959 she was united in marriage to Bobby Joe Johnson. They resided in California where Martha worked at First Interstate Bank (San Bernardino, CA) as Operation Manager. After her retirement she and Bob settled in Boone County, outside of Harrison. Upon her mother’s death they moved her brother, Tony, into their home and became his caregiver until his death in 2007. Martha was a member of Osage Baptist Church. She was very devoted to her whole family and loved spending time with them and caring for her dog, Horatio. She had many interest in her life from riding dirt bikes (in her younger years) to sewing, shopping and her most favorite spoiling her grandsons. She is survived by her husband Bobby Joe of the home, one son, Terry Johnson and wife Darla of Harrison, sister, Aletha Heil and husband Bill of Green Forest, grandsons, Joseph and Aaron Johnson of Harrison. She is preceded in death by one son, Larry Johnson, one sister, Margaret Foster and brothers, Tony and H.R. Sweet.
