Her Life and Legacy
Martha Jean (Peete) Washington was born September 17, 1957, in Muskogee Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Elder Paul James Peete Sr. and Margaret (Peete) Leslie.
Martha’s family relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana, where she attended John Hope Elementary School #26, and Northwest High School, graduating in 1976. Martha returned to school after rearing her children, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Science and Business Management from Phoenix University, graduating with honors in 2009.
Martha’s love for Christ was cultivated at a very young age at Miracle Temple, Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School under the great leadership of her late father, Elder Paul James Peete, Sr. Later on in life, Martha
