Martha was born on Sunday, October 8, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Rev. Stanley B. Hopper and Mallie (Vernon) Hopper.
Martha married the love of her life, Richard (Bill) Russell on March 21st 1959 who preceded her in death on February 15, 2009.
Martha graduated from Rossville High School, Rossville, Indiana in 1957, she attended Taylor University, and retired from Johnson Memorial Hospital in 2002.
Martha was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Trafalgar, Indiana.
Martha was a very loving friend, mother, and grandmother. She really loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchild making memories to last for a lifetime. She enjoyed spending time socializing with her friends. Martha liked animals and watching old westerns.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; baby son, Michael Lee Russell; brothers, John Vernon Hopper and James C. Hopper.
Martha is survived by her children, William Alan Russell, Lisa (Brandon) Louise Staker, Cheryl Ann Russell, of Franklin; sister, Eleanor E. Crow ; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; many loved ones and friends.
