Martha E. Cummings 99
of Dunkirk passed away peacefully after suffering a stroke. She was born in Dunkirk, Ohio in 1912 to (James) Morris Cummings and Irene (Snyder) Cummings who preceded her in death. Her brother Jack also preceded her in death in 2004.
In 1942 Martha enlisted in the Army during World War II and served until her discharge in 1946. She was stationed in Washington DC at Walter Reed Hospital. From Washington she worked at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Hardin Memorial Hospital and retired from Blanchard Valley Hospital. Surviving is her niece Mrs. Linda (John) Shafer of Maumee, Ohio.
