Martha was born September 17, 1930 in Blackshear, Georgia.  She was the last living child born to the late Thomas Hamm and Elizabeth Graham.

Martha graduated from George Washington Carver High School and was married to the late Wilbert A. Campbell Sr. on October 23, 1948.  They were married for fifty years and together they had four children, Carolyn VanZandt, Gwendolynn Hamiter, Wilbert A. Campbell Jr. and Larry Campbell. 

Martha was preceded in death by her husband Wilbert A. Campbell Sr., daughters Carolyn VanZandt and Gwendolynn Hamiter.  

She leaves to cherish her memories her sons Wilbert A. Campbell Jr. and Larry Campbell (Mary).  11 Grandchildren: Timothy Hamiter (Rocki), La’Kesha Mason Campbell (Virginia Beach, VA), Larry Bradshaw, Robert Hamiter, Virgil Wright (Shonda), Thomas Campbell, David Campbell (Chrisshawna), Wilbert A. Campbell III, Issac Campbell, Isaiah Campbell (Katie) and Derrik Campbell.  21 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild and Loving family friend Beth Morris, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Martha enjoyed a long career with R.G. Barry where she retired.  She moved back to Patterson, Georgia in 1988 where she worked at Julie Hat Company until they closed. 

Martha attended Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Patterson, Georgia where she was made an Honorary Usher Member. 

Martha had many hobbies and they included playing basketball, watching baseball, watching westerns, fishing, bowling, bingo, word search, sewing and crocheting.  She also enjoyed sharing stories about her life with her family and friends.
