Marshal Edward Wilson of Anderson passed away surrounded by family in his home after an extended illness March 9, 2013. Ed, who was known by his family and friends as “Wilson”, was born August 18, 1935 in Overton County, Tennessee, the son of the late Bob and Tillie Wilson.

He served with the United States Army from 1957-1960. He lived in Anderson most of his life where he retired from Guide Lamp in 1997 after 28 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. He was an avid country music fan and loved listening to bluegrass music.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Juanita Bilbrey Wilson of Anderson, one daughter, Angie Dave Claypool of Bowling Green, KY, one son, Greg Wendy Swann Wilson of Pittsburgh, PA, three grandchildren, Andrew Wilson, Johnathan Swann and Andrew Swann, one sister, Ova AJ Looper, two sisters-in-law, Debbie Doug Romine and Anna Lee Wilson, three brothers-in-law, Benny Mary Bilbrey, JR Terri Bilbrey and Charles Cooper and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Cleophus Wilson and JC Wilson, sister, Maude Cooper, father and mother-in-law, Barton and Ola Bilbrey, sisters-in-law, Vivian Bilbrey and Colleen Wilson, brothers-in-law, Ronnie Bilbrey and Jack Jackson.
