Marsha L. Snyder, 70, of South Bend passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side, on Wednesday, February 28. Marsha was born May 28, 1936 in Warsaw, IN, to Maxine and Wilber Smith, who preceded her in death. On May 27, 1960, Marsha married Ray E. Snyder who survives. Marsha is survived by a sister, Sandra Patillo (Bob); a brother, Steve Smith (Marilyn); a daughter, Cindy Mrozinski (Keith); three sons, James (Neringa), Dan (Emmy), Russ (Wendy): twelve grandchildren; Kris, Stephanie, Tina, Amy, Kaley, Megan, Kacie, Holly, Joe, Ryan, Maranda and MacKenzie; and a great grandchild, Madisyn.
Marsha was very active in her childrens and grandchildrens lives. She always supported their many sporting and club events. She also was involved in various groups, sports, and committees throughout her life.
Marsha was the first female umpire in the Little League World Series games in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Marsha and her friend Pat McGuire started the girls softball program at Chet Waggoner Little League in 1974.
Marsha loved the outdoors. She was an avid fisherman, competing in many Bass n Gals tournaments. She spent many hours hunting wildlife with her camera. Marshas photographs have been published in several wildlife magazines. She was a 1954 graduate of Washington High School. She was a partner in her business, Copy Cat Printing, which she managed for several years.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who will long be remembered for her generosity and dedication to her family and friends.
The family wishes to thank Marshas closest friends who gave her their love and care.
