Marsha Ellen Berry McCord, 53, Anderson, passed away November 11, 2009 at St. Johns Health System after a four year battle with lung cancer. She was born August 2, 1956 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson all of her life.
Marsha retired from Meijer. She was a lifelong member of the Ladies Auxilary VFW and made memorial flowers for Memorial Day. Her favorite hobby was spending time with her grandbabies.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, James “Jake” N. McCord Jr.; children, Misty Heichel Larry Armstrong Jr., Jama Goodwin Jeff Patterson and Michael McCord; grandchildren, Ryan Calabria, Christopher Heichel, Darian Turner, Zachary Goodwin, Bryce Goodwin and Ashley McCord; sisters, Judy Littlejohn John , Reba Pring, Debra Spearman Andy and Teresa Shryock; brother, Brad Berry; special aunt, Pauline Merritt; aunts & uncle, Mary Kay & Dan Priest, Ruth Owens and Judy Berry; several nieces and nephews and mommy’s baby, Cricket. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Francis & Patricia Ann Owens Berry, sister, Vicky Berry and mother-in-law, Patsy L. McCord.
