Marolyn L. Barker, age 76, of Fort Walton Beach, FL; passed away at the FWBMC on Nov. 27, 2012. She was born on Dec. 31, 1935 in McDonough Co., Illinois to Warren and Dorothy Mesecher. She grew up in the Good Hope, IL area and attended Brown Business College in Galesburg, IL. She was supportive of her husband of 57 years as they traveled with their family to many duty stations with the USAF and finally settling in the FWB area. She worked at Pryor Middle School for many years before retiring as the school’s lunchroom manager. She loved homemaking, traveling and being with her family. She was an outstanding cook and baker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Clint Walker; and her brothers Kent Mesecher, Max Mesecher and Doyle Mesecher.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Barker, Sr.; son, Richard Barker, Jr. (Connie); daughters, Sherrie Barker and Stacey Izer (Kelly), and four grandchildren, Jaime and Jesse Barker and McKenzie and Jake Izer.
