Marlene E. West, 60, of 1022 Parkview Rd., Galesburg, died August 24, 2008 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Marlene was born on August 15, 1948 in Monmouth, the daughter of Clarence and Audrey Scott Greenstreet. Marlene married John Galiher. She later married Ted West on November 26, 1989. He died on July 23, 1993. Surviving Marlene are her mother, Audrey Greenstreet of Galesburg; a brother, Steven (Mary Beth) Greenstreet of Galesburg; a sister Janette (Wayne) Wooldridge of Galesburg; niece and nephews Amanda, Marcus, Scott (Sarah) Wooldridge, Troy (Marie), and Shawn (Charlotte) Johnson; great nieces and nephews, Emily and Krayson Wooldridge, Tori and Tyler Johnson. Marlene was preceded in death by her husband Ted and her father Clarence.
She had spent the past 9 years working in Human Resources at Galesburg Castings. Prior to that Marlene worked as a bookkeeper at Galesburg Electric for 22 years. Before working at Galesburg Electric she worked as a bookkeeper for FS for10 years. She enjoyed collecting antiques; gardening, bowling, and traveling. She was devoted to her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She was a member of various pottery and graniteware clubs.
