Mark Thomas Chmielewski (Big Daddy) passed away on February 26, 2022 on a beautiful Saturday morning. The sun was rising and the harmonious birds were singing out loud, his favorite window wide open in his home with his family by his side.
Mark was born on January 29, 1958 (The Golden Boy). His loving parents Walter & Geraldine Chmielewski resided in Kirkwood, New Jersey with his brother and sisters Deborah, Colleen and Walter. Mark moved to Florida when he was 16 years old with his family and fell in love with the hot Florida sunshine, the crashing of waves along the shore, tall coconut trees, and the smell of Coppertone in the air.
Mark’s biggest achievement was his family, his wife Tamie of 38 years and his two children Katie (Katiegirl) and Thomas (Tommyboy). He stayed with his job in the automobile business for 34 years, building lifelong friendships, and if he loved you he made sure you knew. He gave every bit of himself in every possible way. When he wasn’t working he was with his family. He would take his family all over Florida on the most beautiful vacations that would include boating and fishing, trips to the Keys to St. Augustine, but his favorite fishing spot was Ponce Inlet, south of Daytona Beach, Florida. His favorite fish to catch was the flounder! Which he caught many of them with his dad and family aboard the Duke O’ Fluke in Somer’s Point, New Jersey and once in a while down in Florida as well!
Mark had another passion and that was the love for Cadillacs and classic cars. What a collection! They had style and class like him. Mark was very nostalgic and loved good stories, especially ones from his childhood. His favorite music included James Brown! Frank Sinatra! The Bee Gees! And don’t get him started on “KC and the Sunshine Band! Coming down to you live in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, Florida!” As he would Shout out for everyone to hear!
We will miss you my love, you are the first thought of my day and the last thought of my nights.
