Mark T. Williams, age 54, of the Town of Lee, passed away peacefully, August 18, 2015, at his home with his family at his side.

He was born October 6, 1960, in Glens Falls, a son of Leo and Joanne Reese Williams. He graduated from Fort Edward High School and attended SUNY Plattsburgh. Mark was united in marriage to the former Lynne Magnanti, on August 17, 1985, in the Church of St. John the Baptist. He served as a Corrections Officer at Oneida Correctional Facility, and retired from NYS Department of Corrections in 2010. He was of the Catholic faith.

Mark participated in many activities with his children. He was an enthusiastic coach for his son and teammates in baseball and basketball leagues, as well as being a most vocal fan of high school sports teams. He enjoyed and was most proud of his daughter’s dance performances. He treasured the time spent with friends and family at the Idle Hour Club. He was a fabulous chef and loved cooking for special occasions.

Mark is survived by his wife, Lynne; children, Thomas and Maggie Williams, and his faithful companion Bella; parents, Leo and Joanne Williams of Fort Edward; father in law and mother in law, Louis and Virginia Magnanti of Rome; three sisters and two brothers in law, Nancy and Mike Derway of Melbourne, FL, Diane and Andy Cook of Fort Edward, and Katie Williams of Fort Edward; a brother and sister in law, Peter and Nancy Williams of Fort Edward; sisters in law and brothers in law, Marylou and Ross Maracchion of Rome, and Laurie and Steve Cronin of Duanesburg; and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to sincerely thank Theresa and Jeff Roberts, for their care, compassion and love extended to Mark during his illness.
