Troy – Mark T. King, 62, of Pawling Ave. died Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn Albany after a long illness.

Born in Rutland, VT, he was son of Phyllis ‘Becky’ Fredette King of Rutland, VT and the late Joseph Brown King and husband of Joseph J.  Mattie. Joe and Mark were together for 31 years and married on July 27, 2012. Mark was raised in Fairhaven, VT and resided most of his life in the Troy and Schenectady areas. He was a graduate of Fairhaven Union High School in Fairhaven, VT, earned his Associates degree from Hudson Valley Community College and his Bachelor’s degree from Empire State College.

Mark was an accountant for the New York State Trucking Association for the past 3 years, retiring in October of 2017. Previously, he worked for Mr. Subb, and as an accountant for Jardines and for Sixnet in Clifton Park.

He was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Church in Troy.

Survivors in addition to his husband and mother include a devoted nephew, Eric (Kelly) King, Mechanicville and a niece, Roxanne Clarke, Bridport, VT and several additional nieces and nephews; his siblings, Kevin King, Bennington, VT, Jeffrey (Diana) King, Poultney, VT and Joseph King, Sevierville, TN and many cousins.
