Mark H. Filkins, 70, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother was called to his eternal resting place on February 8, 2017. He entered this world on November 6, 1946 in Raton, NM, born to Daniel G. and Jean E. Filkins. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Filkins; son, Ronald Filkins; daughter, Janna F. Walls; granddaughters, Kelsey Filkins and Malory Walls; great-granddaughter, Piper Filkins; and brothers, Daniel and Timothy Filkins.
Mark served in the Air Force from 1971 – 1977. He retired from Southern Company in Birmingham, AL after 35 years of service. Mark was a devoted fan of Alabama football — Roll Tide!
