Mark, age 85 of Albuquerque, passed away on December 8, 2013. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Day; grandchild, Michael Johnathan Day; and brother, Paul Day.

Mark is survived by his children: Mark and Bernadette Day, Mike and Robin Day, and John and Shohreh Day, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren: Annie and Justin Casias, Ryan Day, Jason Day, Armin Day, Josh Day, and Halleh Day, all of Albuquerque; great-grandchild, Ava Casias; and siblings: Jane Rolfe of Florida, Peggy Day of Florida, and Fred and Judy Day of Arizona.

Born in Chicago, IL to Paul and Mary Jane, Mark attended Northern Illinois University and Lake Forest Illinois College. An Army Air Corps veteran (1946-1949), Mark received the WWII Victory Medal and the Occupation of Japan Medal. He worked in Radio Advertising in Chicago for 30 years – The Crystal Co, Metro Media, and NBC.

Mark was drafted by the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1946, but chose the Army Air Corps instead. He was well known for his love of Golf, five hole-in-ones, winning the Chicago Amateur Golf Tournament twice, and was a two-time club champion at Crystal Lake Illinois Country Club.
