Mark Anthony Madden, age 58, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2020 at his home, surrounded by family and friends.  He was born in St Paul, Minnesota on October 21, 1961 to Patrick and Loretta (Langer) Madden.

Growing up, Mark was an Eagle Scout and developed a love of the outdoors that stayed with him throughout his life.  He graduated from Harding High School, St. Paul, Mn., where he acquired great lifelong friends.  Some of whom joined him, on annual fishing trips, for the next forty years.  Mark’s job was to make cookies for the trip because they all loved his cookies.

Mark had a love of music and, as a young man, was a member of a local band in St Paul.  At one time he and a friend won a KISS lookalike contest, and they met the famous KISS band members in person.

Mark was employed for several years by the City of St Paul Parks Dept until his love of the outdoors lured him to Northern Minnesota.  There he met and fell in love with Robin Shaw. They were married on April 17, 1993.

They moved to Remer Mn. in 1995 where Mark went to work for the City of Remer.  He worked there for twenty-five years, until illness forced him to retire January 1, 2019.  During this time Mark also served with the Remer Volunteer Fire Department for sixteen years.

In his free time, Mark enjoyed many activities and hobbies.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, cooking, and teaching the next generation his “cooking secrets”.  He loved and was very patient with children and with his beloved pets.

Mark’s greatest passion and his greatest gift were the love and loyalty that he gave to his family and friends.  He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Loretta Madden.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Madden of Remer, MN; brothers, Mike (Glenda) Madden of Northfield, NH and Dave (Sherry) Madden of Osceola, WI; sister, Margie Ahart of White Bear Lake, MN; many nieces and nephews and a whole lot of REAL GOOD FRIENDS.
