Marjorie “Marge” Palmore, 87, passed away at 7:40 p.m. on November 29th, 2015, surrounded by her family. She joins her parents Joseph and Pearl (Ekstram) Stenzel, her brother, Vernon Stenzel, her husband William “Mike” Palmore, and her son Larry Palmore in peaceful rest.
Mrs. Palmore was born in rural Rutland, and married Mike Palmore on December 9th, 1947.
Marge lived a life full of love for those around her. She was known as Marge, Mom, Gramma, Nanny, a testament to the great number of those who loved her. She was quiet, gentle, and humble, in the way she served others. Her heart and her home were always open, and always full. Whether she was bringing out three-course meals for the men during harvest, cooking holiday dinners, or making cookies and peanut butter sandwiches for her grandkids after school, Marge always had room at her table. Marge was generous in her thoughts and concerns of those around her. She supported and encouraged each of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren during her time on earth. She made a point to be at every sporting event, musical, graduation, birthday, and every other event where she could celebrate her family. Throughout her life she had a steadfast faith in the Lord.
She is survived by her children, Tom (Chris) Palmore, Judy (Brian) Kirkton, Pat (Jess) Timmerman, and Roger (Mary) Palmore, and her daughter-in-law JoAnn Palmore. Her grandchildren, Jennifer (Rubaiyat) Hossain, Suzanne (Jeremy) Brandl, Diane (Daniel) Lindsey, Aaron Palmore, Brian (Anda) Palmore, Chad (Megan) Palmore, Dylan Palmore, Kelli (Brian) Weiland, Kasi (Kyle) Lutz, Kari Kiefer, Renae Kirkton, Zach Kirkton, Kim McGough, Candi Johnson, Lucas and Jessica Timmerman, Bridgett, Brianna, Grant, and Grace Palmore.
