Marjorie L. Kershaw, aged 96, devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt and friend departed this life to her heavenly home on Sunday, March 13, 2022.
She was born the youngest daughter of Julius and Ellen Benson, both Norwegian immigrants in Duluth, Minnesota. In 1945, at aged 20, she joined in marriage with Leon R. Kershaw; and they had three children: Corine, Brad, and Ross. They moved from Minnesota to White Sands, NM, and then in 1957 to Colorado. She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed making her home a haven for her family.
She is survived by one daughter Corine Brooks and husband Bill of Longmont, CO, and her children: Dennis Sims and wife Beth (Longmont) Russell Sims and wife Kim (Platteville, CO); and Laura Oster, and husband Nic (Longmont); son Brad Kershaw and wife Bonnie of Burleson, TX, and their children: Kaiya Kershaw and husband Adam Rose (DeLeon, TX) and Brent Kershaw (Jacksonville, SC); and son Ross Kershaw and wife Janna of Thermopolis, WY, and their children: Julia Swope and husband Robert (Ft. Lupton, CO); Teah Miller and husband Dale (Pueblo West, CO), Joel Kershaw and wife Raven (Thornton, CO), Joseph McMullen and wife Beth (Brighton, CO), and Jared Kershaw and wife Danielle (Berkley Springs, WV) and one dear friend she considered family, Diane Hamilton, of ID. Marjorie also leaves 18 great grandchildren with one more on the way, two 2 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of treasured friends.
