Marjorie Clay DeDanko 77, of Colonial Heights, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Southside Medical Center Petersburg, Virginia. She was born September 27, 1946, to the late William H. Clay and Leora Lindsey Clay, and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Lynn DeDanko, sister, Scarlette Lee Muehler; niece, Lisa Clay Alascio; and beloved dog, Prissy Lynn. After serving as a dispatcher for the Colonial Heights Police Department, she moved on to become the Commissioner of Revenue for Colonial Heights and served two terms, retiring in 2014. Aside from her career, Margie was passionate about the American Legion, and she was a dedicated member of the Ladies Auxillary 284.
