Marion Torpey, (nee Maldonado), of Willingboro, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008 at Lourdes Hospital, Willingboro at the age of 84. Mrs. Torpey was born in Whitemarsh, PA and had been a Willingboro resident for many years. She worked as a teacher’s assistant in the Hawthorne Park Elementary School for many years. She was first and foremost a devoted mother and grandmother who made sure her family stayed together during trying times.
She loved all of her family members, especially her son, Michael. Wife of the late Robert Torpey, Sr., she is survived by her children, Kathleen Hughes, Langhorne, PA, Maureen Traister, Las Vegas, NV, Terri Lombardi, Marmora, NJ, Donna DiCiccio, Marlton, NJ, Robert Torpey, Jr., Palermo, NJ, and Michael Martin Torpey, Willingboro, NJ, her grandchildren, Rachael, Marion, Sarah, Stephanie, Paul, Jesse, Jared, Ginaell, Jimmy, Gary, Bobby, and Daniel, her great grandchildren, Jonathan, Savanah, and Lauren, and her two sisters, Eleanor Spitalniak and Gloria Shegda.
